The Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements announced the seizure of three large drones capable of carrying four air-to-ground missiles, as well as six smaller drones capable of carrying two air-to-ground missiles, coming from Chad.
The Joint Forces, in a statement on Sunday, considered the entry of these weapons into Sudan a first, with support and funding from the United Arab Emirates, and coordinated with Chad to facilitate their passage.
Below is the full statement issued by the Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements:
Military Statement
To the People of Our Nation,
In light of the repeated conspiracies targeting the security and safety of our country, the intelligence services of the Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements, in coordination with the Sudanese Army's intelligence, have been monitoring hostile activities aimed at supplying unprecedented dangerous weapons to Sudan from a European country via Chad to Darfur, specifically to the city of El Fasher, with the goal of bringing down the city using deadly weapons.
To the People of Our Nation…
Thanks to this precise intelligence surveillance from both inside and beyond the borders, the special operations forces of the Joint Forces and the Sudanese Army were able to thwart the arrival of these dangerous weapons through a well-coordinated and precise military operation carried out in Area X near Nyala at exactly 3:00 AM on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
The outcome of this special operation resulted in the seizure of:
- Three large drones capable of carrying four air-to-ground missiles.
- Six smaller drones capable of carrying two air-to-ground missiles.
- The killing of more than 30 mercenaries from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
- The destruction of eight military vehicles.
Details of the Seized Weapons:
The seized weapons included drones of the “Danger Propellers” model, serial number J/DF24-23-01-043A, produced by the company Woodcomp Propellers in the Czech Republic, Central Europe. These drones were modified for military purposes. Their entry into Sudan is a first, supported and funded by the United Arab Emirates, and coordinated with Chad to facilitate their passage.
To the United Arab Emirates:
You should know that we reject all your actions from across the western and northern borders. Your schemes will not succeed, no matter how much effort and conspiracy you put into them. Stop meddling with our land and our security, and know that you are wasting your nation's wealth on a losing project. Defeat is your fate in Sudan. We will remain steadfast in eliminating all your regional and international mercenaries, and we will seize your weapons no matter their cost.
We thank you for your generosity in delivering these advanced weapons, worth millions, which are now in our hands, and we will use them to add defeat upon defeat to your efforts.
To the Ruling Government of Chad:
The Sudanese and Chadian peoples are bound by ties of blood, history, and shared destiny. What you are doing in supporting the Rapid Support Forces with weapons and supplies, and facilitating their passage through your territory, will not be forgiven. Your facilitation of these weapons and your support for the RSF is a stain on your honor, and you will pay a heavy price unless you stop this meddling.
To all Sudanese men and women…
This military achievement reflects the readiness of our forces to confront all conspiracies targeting the security and safety of our country. We renew our pledge to you that we will remain vigilant, with our hands on the trigger, to protect the lives of our people and the resources of our nation from any external or internal threat until we achieve complete liberation.
Glory and eternal life to our martyrs.
Shame and disgrace to the enemies of the nation.
Major Ahmed Hussein Mustafa
Official Spokesperson of the Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements
